On the International Day of Disabled Persons, 3 December, we bring you this podcast that explores the linkages between disability and Development Justice. We talk with our Regional Council member Abia Akram of National Forum of Women with Disabilities in Pakistan on what motivated her in the first place to seek justice for and eliminate stigma against persons with disabilities. She is joined with APWLD Feminist Legal Theory and Practice Programme Officer Marion Cabrera who explains the role of Development Justice that includes four areas – access to land and resources, decent work and living wage, peace and freedom of expression – highly important for persons with disabilities to build their movement.
