In the 111th International Labour Conference, particularly in the Committee of Applications of Standards, the Government of the Philippines continuously speaks that they commit to ensuring that all workers are able to enjoy the rights to organise, mobilise and FoA, including collective bargaining regardless of their working status under the Convention No. 87 which has been ratified by the member state. However, our FPAR indicates that contrast findings. Contractual workers do not enjoy the benefits gained through the union and through the Collective  Bargaining Agreement (CBA). Women workers in the Bataan and Laguna SEZs call on the government and companies in the zones to listen to the workers’ voices by encouraging and ensuring spaces for freedom of association and Collective Bargaining, including rights to organise and to strike. This demand is only one of 13 demands to the Government and Companies.

These briefers were also disseminated at the 111th International Labour Conference #ILC2023 in Geneva, Switzerland.
