Misun Woo Concludes Role as
APWLD Regional Coordinator

Wrapping up over seventeen years  of contributing towards our region’s feminist movements, we would like to share that our colleague and dear friend Misun Woo will be transiting out of her role as APWLD Regional Coordinator this month.

Misun has been a central force in shaping APWLD’s feminist vision, strengthening our collective work and advancing women’s human rights and development justice across the Asia Pacific region. She has consistently combined vision with perseverance to ensure that APWLD remains a space rooted in collective action and feminist values.

As APWLD Regional Coordinator for the past 7 years, Misun’s leadership has been grounded in feminist principles of care, solidarity and sisterhood. Misun has guided the secretariat through times of challenge and growth, building spaces that centre grassroots women, amplify their voices and connect movements across borders.

Her commitment has inspired us all and strengthened the bonds of our feminist community. Misun’s legacy, which includes her care, strength and dedication, will continue to shape our work and inspire us in the years to come.

As we reflect on her contributions, on behalf of the entire APWLD secretariat, Programme and Management Committee and Members, we extend our heartfelt thanks and appreciation.

Misun, it has been an honour and privilege to work alongside you. Your legacy will continue to guide us, and we wish you success and happiness in the future ahead.

With love and solidarity,

APWLD Secretariat
