UN-NGLS report: “Advancing Regional Recommendations for the Post-2015 Development Agenda”

APWLD together with is partner organisations pushed for the inclusion of the Development Justice model, a “transformative and redistributive framework that aims to reduce inequalities of wealth, power and resources between countries, between rich and poor and between men and women” in the recommendations made to the UN General Assembly last September 25, 2013. This framework  emerged from the Asia-Pacific civil society consultation held in in Bangkok last August 2013, culminating in a Bangkok Civil Society Declaration that calls for five foundational shifts in the development agenda: Redistributive Justice, Economic Justice, Social Justice, Environmental Justice and Accountability to Peoples.
